CentOS Stream is a Linux distribution where members of the open source community can develop systems, test them, and contribute to a continuously updated distribution, upstream of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, in cooperation with Red Hat developers. Red Hat develops the source code for its Red Hat Enterprise Linux solution on the CentOS Stream development platform before releasing a new version. Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 is the first major release to be built in CentOS Stream.
