Speed Commander is a great alternative for Windows Explorer. Unlike the latter, it offers you a system of juxtaposed windows, which allows you to work on two files at the same time. It allows you to do the usual tasks such as copy, move, add, delete, copy-paste or other, and allows you to directly create an office file (doc, excel, ppt) from the click mouse right. Besides, it can also read and create archives in ZIP, ACE, ARJ, BZIP, CAB, GZIP, JAR, LZH, RAR, SQX, TAR and UUE formats. Finally, it also gives you the possibility to synchronize your data, edit text files, access a local network or an FTP site.
