Frostwire is client software that connects to the Gnutella peer-to-peer file sharing network. It is an open source, free alternative to LimeWire. It allows you to share, search, and download any type of file with other network users. The application has a modern and intuitive interface, which will not disorient users of eMule, Shareaza or BitTorrent. It includes a keyword search engine with filtering options. It indicates for each result, the name of the file, its type, its size, the number of copies shared, as well as the evaluations of other users. The download tab gives the typical information of any decentralized sharing software, such as the sending and receiving speed, and the estimated time to complete each download.
