VeraCrypt is free open-source disk encryption software for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. In case an attacker forces you to reveal the password. VeraCrypt allows you to encrypt and decrypt your data. Based on the same interface as TrueCrypt, a project which was abandoned during 2014, VeraCrypt offers the possibility of encrypting hard disks or USB keys entirely, creating encrypted partitions or even protected containers. VeraCrypt offers several encryption algorithms like AES, Serpent, Twofish as well as RIPEMD-160, SHA-256 and SHA-512 as algorithms for hashing hash.
